Bequest Programme

Russell Crowe, playing the role of Roman General Maximus in the movie "Gladiator " cries out these immortal words as his army prepares for battle against the tribes of Germania:

"What we do in life echoes in eternity"

Every one of us wants to leave something that will stand as a tribute to our lives. Something that will echo in eternity.

What could possibly be more powerful than to invest in another life? A life of a child. A life that will live long past our own. A life that will carry our mark of compassion for years to come. An innocent life that desperately needs an act of compassion and kindness to have a meaningful future.

A bequest to our Ruel Foundation children will change lives into eternity. Our commitment to the physical and spiritual welfare of children living in poverty with physical disabilities in developing nations is not only changing lives but changing communities. Children are now recovering their self esteem, going back to school, getting an education, daring to dream of being a pilot, fireman, nurse or teacher.

We would like to invite you to invest in their future by joining our bequest programme. By putting the Ruel Foundation in your will, your legacy of hope and compassion will continue in another young life.

What we do in life echoes in eternity.

Ruel, our namesake, was found suffering from malnutrition in a hospital due to a cleft lip with cleft palate. He was unable to suckle properly or ingest food to satisfy his growing body. His mother could not afford the surgery to rectify this ailment, or the nutrients necessary to provide her child with an adequate diet. Thanks to the simple surgery to rectify this problem Ruel is now a happy and healthy little boy.
