Angela Fornal died 19 September 2009
29 September 2009
Angela was brought to us in early 2008, suffering from not only a cleft lip and palate but also cerebral palsy. She was underweight and turned down for her first surgery appointment as being too risky. In October 2008 she again went to see specialists to see if she could undergo surgery, but they found her weight had not improved to a point where they felt she would be well enough to undergo an operation.
The Ruel Foundation gave milk powder and vitamins to aid her. September 5th, Pauline visited Angela, she was very ill, had lost more weight and was not eating. September 19th she sadly passed away.
Although we are so sad and our heart goes out to the family we are happy to know she is now made whole and is beautiful. Thank you to Howard and Sandra Huseth who sponsored Angela.

Ruel, our namesake, was found suffering from malnutrition in a hospital due to a cleft lip with cleft palate. He was unable to suckle properly or ingest food to satisfy his growing body. His mother could not afford the surgery to rectify this ailment, or the nutrients necessary to provide her child with an adequate diet. Thanks to the simple surgery to rectify this problem Ruel is now a happy and healthy little boy.
