Compassionate Children

25 July 2011

Angel (not her real name) has been abused, she is so scared of everyone and just sat like a zombie all day with a really worried look on her face. She cries if an adult comes near her. Our kids here knew how to deal with the situation! Most of them are only 2 or 3 but they gathered around her, they patted her head, stroked her broken arm and showered her with toys. Slowly I see a smile come. Two days later they put her on a blanket and pull her around the room, she starts to giggle and I start to have tears in my eyes and a lump in my throat! All these children have had a difficult past but they know how to love! I am so proud of them, they always welcome a new child in with love and acceptance. Angel will be with us until we find her “Forever Family”.
