Princess & Super Hero Day at Bethlehem College
04 August 2009
Bethlehem College Senior Students came up with a novel way to raise awareness for the Ruel Foundation by holding a Mufti Day for all students at the school.
The theme was Princesses and Super Heroes. The Year 13 Girls got dressed up as their favourite Princess and spent the day with the primary girls, the Year 13 Boys were the Super Heroes and enjoyed a program with the primary boys.
Apart from enjoying the day they raised a whopping $1776.00 towards the work of the Ruel Foundation. So well done to all who participated in this wonderful fundraiser.

Ruel, our namesake, was found suffering from malnutrition in a hospital due to a cleft lip with cleft palate. He was unable to suckle properly or ingest food to satisfy his growing body. His mother could not afford the surgery to rectify this ailment, or the nutrients necessary to provide her child with an adequate diet. Thanks to the simple surgery to rectify this problem Ruel is now a happy and healthy little boy.
